Floral Oil: These are essential oils that are extracted from flowers such as rose, lavender, geranium, and jasmine. They are known for their sweet, delicate, and romantic scents and are often used in perfumes, lotions and aromatherapy blends.

Woody Oil: These are essential oils that are extracted from wood such as kunzea, sandalwood, cedarwood and juniper berry. They are known for their warm, earthy, and grounding scents and are often used in perfumes, candles, and aromatherapy blends.

Herbal Oil: These are essential oils that are extracted from herbs such as peppermint, rosemary and oregano. They are known for their fresh, invigorating, and energizing scents and are often used in aromatherapy blends, skincare products and household cleaners.

Fragrance Oil Blending Techniques

Top Notes: These are the first fragrances that you smell when you apply a fragrance blend. Top notes are usually light, refreshing, and have a high evaporation rate. Common top notes include citrus oils, peppermint and eucalyptus. They provide an initial burst of fragrance, but their scent fades quickly.

Middle Notes: These fragrances are the heart of the blend and provide the body and character of the fragrance. They have a medium evaporation rate and can last for several hours. Common middle notes include lavender, rose and geranium. They provide a balanced fragrance that blends well with the top and base notes.

Base Notes: These are the fragrances that provide depth, warmth and longevity to a fragrance blend. They have a slow evaporation rate and can last for hours or even days. Common base notes include sandalwood, vanilla and cedarwood. They provide a strong foundation for the fragrance blend and help to anchor the lighter top and middle notes.
